E-Invoicing Service + Connector: The new e-invoice solutions (EMEA)

Product news

When companies exchange e-invoices, efficiency and security are essential. With two new products in the portfolio, you can enable your customers to manage their e-invoices entirely within DocuWare. The DocuWare E-Invoicing Service and the DocuWare E-Invoicing Connector solutions will be available for DocuWare Cloud beginning in January 2026. The rollout will be staggered across different regions.

The two new DocuWare e-invoice processing solutions can be seamlessly integrated into all document processes. Your customers can use it to process all common international e-invoice formats, which makes it possible to exchange invoices with companies from around the world. Both variations allow organizations to send and receive e-invoices and participate in the trusted, popular Peppol network.

In the event of regional legal changes, DocuWare commits to making any necessary changes, which makes the offer especially future-proof for your customers.

Receiving and sending with the Peppol network

Both Service and Connector automatically make incoming e-invoices available in DocuWare, where you can then trigger additional processes such as invoice approval via DocuWare Workflow.

E-invoices can be sent in UBL/CII-compliant formats via DocuWare Workflow; customers determine the date on which they are sent. The provider notifies the invoice recipient about the recently delivered e-invoice directly.

Is it necessary to report the status of the e-invoice along with the invoice data in a given country? No problem, both products are equally able to handle this task. The transactions and events pertaining to each invoice are documented in the background, so your customers can see the status of their invoice at any time.

DocuWare E-Invoicing Service: Includes a secure e-invoicing provider right out of the box

The DocuWare E-Invoicing Service is the best offer for customers who do not currently have an e-invoice exchange provider or who are looking for one. The service is already integrated with a certified European provider infrastructure. DocuWare selected this provider base on security and compliance criteria, so your customers benefit from a secure, compliant solution.

And by verifying every participant in the Peppol network, the service ensures an additional layer of security for both senders and recipients. This is a winning point in your sales pitches, as it boosts trust between business partners.

Rollout from region to region: In the initial phase, the E-Invoicing Service will be available for DocuWare Cloud. Customers who are legally required to register their businesses in Belgium will be the first to have access—beginning in January 2026.

Going forward, additional countries in which e-reporting and mandatory reporting of e-invoices are pending will be included.

DocuWare E-Invoicing Connector: For all those that already have an e-invoicing provider

DocuWare E-Invoicing Connectors are ideal for customers who already have an e-invoice platform provider and want to seamlessly connect it with DocuWare. DocuWare is focused on international scalability and is expanding its offer step-by-step with the most trusted e-invoicing providers in each region.

The connector for B2Brouter will be made available first, with additional connectors for other e-invoicing providers following shortly.
