What do you like best?
User friendly, easy to store documents including emails stored directly from Outlook with attachments, and easy to retrieve and view documents. Excellent customer service.
What do you dislike?
Have had primarily positive experiences. Any issues we've had have been resolved with newer versions of DocuWare.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
No more paper files. Documents are retrievable by all users who need access.
Offer on-premise and cloud-based solutions. HIPAA-enabled. Using forms to capture new client data has made our office much more efficient; workflows, too. Integrations with external applications are made possible so that we can add information from a main system or search in DocuWare using criteria from the main system.
Streamlined new patient forms process so that patients can enter info from their screen (computer, tablet, or phone) and submit directly into our office. Saves paper, removes friction in the new patient on-boarding process.
Overall: Docuware has been a great experience for our company. It has allowed us to pay invoices faster, track information about who has overcharged us, and track change orders without letting them get lost in the shuffle.
Pros: Docuware is a powerful tool for routing paperwork through workflows. It has eliminated paper running through our office and allowed our employees to work from any location without needing physical access to the paper.
Cons: Setting up the workflows is difficult at first, but once you get used to "speaking the language" per se it's not bad at all.
Reasons for Choosing DocuWare: Worked best with our Exchange based system, had best and most advanced features for doing indexing of documents, and price was the best deal.
Overall Comment
This tool is awesome. It allows us to safely store and archive important documents such as contracts, invoices, agreements, etc. in a place that is encrypted and stored safely. This makes it a reliable tool for being able to send documents out for signature, collect information for invoices, and more. The best part is all of our team members can review and see these documents if they need to refer to them later on.
What do you like most about the product or service?
What I like the most about this software is that it allows us to be able to store all of our agreements and invoices in one place. This was a problem we repeatedly had in the past where the storage of these documents was across several different platforms and needed to be accessed individually. Moving everything to DocuWare allowed us to save time and to save money.
What do you dislike most about the product or service?
I do not have much to complain about this software. The only thing that I dislike is that I wish it was more customizable and allowed us to fully Whitelabel the software for sending out documents to clients, etc. Other than this, I do not have any complaints.
What one piece of advice would you give other prospective customers?
Definitely give this tool a try. It is easy to set up and you will not be disappointed!
What do you like best?
I like the ease of use of the DocuWare system in general. I like the increased visibility of documents for the users who need them and the improved security for protecting documents from users who shouldn't see them. I like the robustness and the flexibility of the DocuWare system and the many options for integrating the document availability into other line-of-business applications. With the addition of Forms and Digital Workflows, DocuWare is the only ECM system you will ever need.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We use DocuWare to handle document management activities in every department throughout our organization. DocuWare has improved the accuracy of filing and storing documents, greatly decreased the time it takes to locate documents at a later time, and improved the visibility of documents for the appropriate users. DocuWare has greatly increased our efficiency and productivity when dealing with traditional "document-based" processes.

Overall: Our growth is very healthy, so this allowed us to automate and electronically store our documents without adding more space for file cabinets and hold off on hiring additional employees for a period of time.
Pros: The DocuWare consultant tailored the product to our specific needs. We incorporated many validations and lookups across to the target ERP system (SAGE). The Intellix learning OCR feature was impressive and lived up to the sales pitch, recognizing differences in our vendor base that were surprising (example - some vendor provided dates in mm/dd/yyyy and others presented in dd/mm/yyyy - but DocuWare learned the difference and converted as needed).
Cons: We did not build enough tracking/audit fields at the onset, upon hindsight. Doing it again, I would have a tracking field on who owns the document - so as to always be able to export a file of all open WIP documents and know to whom that they belong.
