For the time being, registering applications that are integrated in DocuWare via the DocuWare API will remain optional. The deadline of April 2026 has been rescinded. If you would like to register your own services, it may be worth waiting for the next version of the app registration component, as it will make additional options available.
Integration of third-party applications
Applications that are integrated in DocuWare via the DocuWare API must authenticate themselves using oAuth2 as of DocuWare version 7.11. In addition, these applications can be registered in the DocuWare Configuration using the app registration component. When registering the application, you can configure security criteria as well as the token lifetime.
Mandatory registration of these applications, which was announced in February 2025, will no longer be required; the deadline of April 2026 has been rescinded. It is worth waiting for the next version of the app registration component to complete the registration process, as it will provide additional options. We will let you know as soon as this is available.
