Launch of the "My Business" area for easier account management

We are happy to share that beginning in late March, a new area will be available to you that will display and make managing customer and prospect information much easier. This new area named “My Business” will gradually replace the functions and options currently offered in the Partner Portal.

You will now have options for viewing your customers and prospects. Benefits of the new display:

  • More available space
  • It can be searched by company
  • Lists can be filtered and sorted, columns shown and hidden

If your DocuWare ID is connected to several locations of the Partner Company, they will all be clearly listed and can be filtered by location. This improvement means it is no longer necessary to work with several lists in parallel.

My Business 2

On the new company details page, beneath the address data of the customer/prospect, there is a new section to assign an employee to each customer/prospect. The corresponding employees serve as the responsible contact and automatically receive relevant information such as:

  • Email about low storage space in cloud organizations
  • Announcements for DocuWare version updates

Only members of the Administration or Management Team Rights are allowed to make this assignment. In the Partner Portal, this assignment was previously only possible to a limited extent, since only logged-in users could assign themselves.

My Business 3

Assigned (Partner) contact without a DocuWare ID
If a customer/prospect is assigned a contact person on the Partner side who has not yet created a DocuWare ID, this will be done automatically for you shortly before the “My Business” release in February, because the DocuWare ID forms the basis for using applications such as “My Business”, the DocuWare Academy Learning Management Platform (LMS) or the Support Portal. The account is therefore a prerequisite for good customer service.

Your action items: check the following once “My Business” goes live:

  1. "Manage people" Remove former employees from your company record now.
  2. "ADP Contacts" Are the right colleagues assigned correctly to all customers and prospects?

On the new information page about the company, you will also find a link to the Partner Portal, as the details of existing contracts and the license download will only move to the "My Business" section at a later date.
