There is a new feature, and change in the user interface, in DocuWare Forms that we wanted to share with you.
To help users customize and optimize merge forms, DocuWare Forms now offers a broader list of fonts. And to ensure that the same date, time, and number format is used when submitting forms, we now base this on an organization’s settings instead of individual user settings.
New font list for merge forms
Previously, the merge form offered only a fixed list of fonts. Now, Forms has integrated DocuWare’s standard font list, allowing users to preview and choose from a broader range of fonts and styles. Cloud users benefit from an expanded selection, while on-premises organizations can add custom fonts to their server environment. Please note that Forms does not take responsibility for the performance of customized fonts. For details, please refer to this Support Knowledge Base article.
Organizational settings used for document generation upon form submissions
Previously, when it came to the document generation upon forms submission, the date, time and number formats were based on the web client settings of each person filling out the form. As a result, the final PDFs collected from the same form could contain various formats – adding confusion for process owners.
To avoid this, we are now using an organization’s settings to create standardized the date, time, and number formats. The organization’s settings can be configured in the Organization Settings module within DocuWare Configuration.
