Use of existing data
When archiving invoices, DocuWare automatically reads key data, which then serves as index criteria for searching and retrieving documents. This can include the vendor name, amount, due date or even line item details.
However, this data isn’t only useful within DocuWare. The relevant information can, for example, be exported as accounting data to your financial accounting or ERP system. With DocuWare, you can effortlessly generate complete journal entries. This eliminates the need for manual data entry and error correction, freeing up time for other tasks.
Universal connection options
With DocuWare, you can transfer data to any accounting and ERP systems that accept CSV or XML files as input. And because DocuWare supports the conventions of all leading systems, the result matches your accounting solution precisely.
Use filters to select which documents’ data should be exported. You determine the data structure and can also easily transfer content from table fields, such as individual line items, to other systems. To prevent duplicate exports, you can configure an archive index field that gets updated with the data status after each export for added safety.
DocuWare offers two different tools for data transfer: DocuWare Export and DocuWare docXporter. The key factor when choosing between them is file format required by your accounting or ERP system.
DocuWare Export
DocuWare Export is a DocuWare Desktop App and supports CSV as output format. Read in this article how to export the required index data precisely for your financial accounting.
Licensing: DocuWare Export is included in DocuWare Cloud. For on-premises systems you need the corresponding add-on license.
DocuWare docXporter
DocuWare docXporter is an add-on module that also offers XML as an output format. Read how to configure and use docXporter in the DocuWare Knowledge Center.
Licensing: A separate license is required for DocuWare docXporter, both with DocuWare Cloud and with on-premises systems.
