Will the new DocuWare be available as a Cloud and on-premises solution?

Initially, the new DocuWare will be released for DocuWare Cloud. An on-premises version will follow, allowing organizations to choose the deployment option that best fits their needs.

When will it be available?

The next generation of DocuWare for DocuWare Cloud is scheduled for release in autumn 2026.

Is there a transition period?

During a transitional phase, both the new DocuWare and the classic DocuWare will run in parallel for some time, giving users the flexibility to switch when it suits their needs. However, please note that all new features and enhancements will be developed exclusively for the new DocuWare moving forward.

Which devices will the new DocuWare support?

The new DocuWare will be accessible across all device platforms. Whether you are working on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone, you will have full access to DocuWare’s capabilities. The new mobile app is already available, focusing on essential on-the-go features that allow users to efficiently manage documents, approve workflows, and handle core tasks from anywhere. As development continues, we plan to further expand mobile functionality to ensure a truly comprehensive experience for all users.

Is technical migration required?

No technical migration is needed. The new DocuWare uses the same data and settings as the classic version, enabling a smooth transition period in which both classic and new DocuWare can run in parallel. Users can switch between them at any time.
