VM switching to Hyper-V
As you know, you can download our current Peters Engineering VMs in the LMS (https://academy.docuware.com) at any time, via the top navigation "VM" tab. Currently, the DAC (Sales) VMs are available with Virtual Box and VMware Workstation Pro. The DSC (Technical) VM is only available for Virtual Box.
As a first step in this switch to Hyper-V, the DSC VM will be replaced by a Hyper-V version with Windows 2022. This will be available in September 2023. The exact release date will be announced in a future issue of PartnerInfo.
In the second step, the DAC VM for Virtual Box will be replaced by the Hyper-V version with Windows 2022. This is expected to take place in November 2023 (again, please refer to future issues of the PartnerInfo for an exact date.)
The VM for VMware Workstation Pro will continue to be available.
Please note: Hyper-V is provided free of charge with every 64-bit Windows Pro, Enterprise or Education license used on a computer. A VMware license is still needed in case you choose to use a virtual machine in this format.
Recertification 2023
Here are the details for this year’s recertification so that your certification(s) will be valid until December 31, 2024.
This year’s recertification courses became available starting May 31, via the LMS (https://academy.docuware.com).
It consists of 3 parts per career track (DSA, DAC, DSC, DCC) including the corresponding exams, all of which must be successfully completed by December 31, 2023. Otherwise, your certification cannot be renewed until the end of 2024. If you wish to renew both your sales (DAC, DSA, DCC) and technical (DSC) certifications, you will need to work through both recertification paths.
We will enroll you directly in the learning paths and sub-courses for which you are eligible for recertification, meaning the ones you have a currently valid certification with an end date of 12/31/2023. You can find your program as of 5/31/2023 in your personal learning status via the top navigation in the LMS.
Please note:
- Part 1 closes on August 15, 2023.
- Part 2 is available throughout this year
- Part 3 opens on October 1, 2023 (the block does not open until this date)
