Chrome browser security change: Time to switch to HTTPS

Google is further strengthening the security of its browser. A change in Chrome version 92 means that only encrypted communication via HTTPS will be possible with DocuWare desktop apps starting in July 2021. So your company should switch to HTTPS-only communication today!

The Chrome browser is constantly being updated to strengthen its security. Soon, encrypted communication will only be possible via the HTTPS protocol. This will affect your work with DocuWare Desktop Apps. You will no longer be able to use certain DocuWare components via HTTP – only with HTTPS. This impacts features like Smart Connect, Edit & Send, the Scan App from the DocuWare Web Client, as well as the configuration areas of SmartConnect and document processing (scanner, folder, printer).

So your company should switch to the secure HTTPS variant as quickly as possible.
