Using Single Sign-on in DocuWare Cloud

Many apps, but only one login: with Single Sign-On authentication, the tedious task of typing (and retyping) login data is eliminated. DocuWare now supports two Identity Providers so that customers of DocuWare Cloud can also take advantage of this convenience.

With Single Sign-On, the login is handled by a third-party provider which safely stores the identity of a user. By clicking on the Single Sign-On button in DocuWare's login dialog, the user is forwarded to the Identity Provider. After successful authentication, the user is automatically logged into DocuWare, regardless of whether the user logs in through DocuWare Client, DocuWare Mobile, Desktop Apps, Configuration or Administration.

DocuWare supports two Identity Providers to offer Cloud customers convenient authentication via Single Sign-On:

  • Microsoft Azure Active Directory
  • Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (4.0)
