Background to the discontinuation

DocuWare Process Planner was introduced in 2019 designed as an ultra-simple, free tool for basic process mapping. There are now many alternative solutions on the market. These tools also enable reliable, user-friendly process mapping.

DocuWare has decided to discontinue Process Planner to focus more strongly on its core product portfolio: digital document management with workflow automation.

Timeline

These are the planned steps for discontinuing the Process Planner:

  • End of September 2025: All individuals with a Process Planner account will receive a special mailing about the discontinuation of the tool.
  • November 1, 2025: The tool will be officially shut down. Access to the Process Planner will be discontinued.
  • December 1, 2025: All process and user data will be deleted.

Export process maps

Take advantage of the period until the end of October 2025 to export any process maps you need.
To do this, open the relevant process in Process Planner and click on the “Export” button in the upper right corner of the user interface. You can select between XML, PDF, or image as file format. Ensure you have saved all necessary information before the tool is shut down.
