Why a new DocuWare app?
As mobile work becomes the standard, you expect fast, intuitive tools that enable you to achieve more - anytime, anywhere. By prioritizing user-centric design, enhanced task management, feedback-driven development, and a future-ready architecture, the new DocuWare app delivers a smooth, modern, and reliable experience on mobile devices. It focuses on mobile-specific, on-the-go use cases, simplifying every interaction — from viewing and approving documents to completing workflow tasks in just a few taps.

Document search: Instantly find and share documents while on the go. Ideal for sales and field teams or anyone who needs immediate access to customer records, contracts, or invoices.

Robust task management: Access and manage all assigned tasks, organized by workflow. This helps customers keep processes moving, even outside the office.

Push notifications for tasks: With DocuWare version 7.14, users receive instant task notifications, ensuring faster response times and improved process throughput.

File import: Add documents to DocuWare from other mobile apps, making it easier to capture and store information immediately on site.

Efficient navigation: Simple tabs allow users to switch between tasks and related documents without losing context - a major productivity boost for multitasking.
Availability
The new app is simply called “DocuWare”. The current app was therefore renamed to “DocuWare Classic”.

Currently, the new app will only work with DocuWorld Cloud Systems. Support for on-premises organizations (with DocuWare versions 7.9 and higher) is planned for fall of 2026.
The current DocuWare app
The current app, now called “DocuWare Classic”, will stay in the stores in its current state but will no longer be actively maintained.
Important:
Since the app will now only be available as a legacy version, no bug fixes will be released in the event of updates from Google or Apple that could cause issues within the app. This could become relevant with the release of iOS 27 in September 2026 which may affect the user interface.
We recommend not updating to iOS 27 if you intend to continue using the DocuWare Classic app.
