Michael Berger larger typeIn his opening presentation, Dr. Michael Berger, DocuWare Group President focused on the company's product strategy. Forward-thinking decisions made years ago continue to underpin the company's success.
As early as 2002, the company opted to build the next DocuWare version on the basis of a flexible, future-ready and highly scalable architecture. Four years later, a move to a purely browser-based user interface followed. This technological foresight set the course so that the company was able to bring its first SaaS offering to market in 2012. Today, DocuWare Cloud is a critical part of the technology infrastructure of more than 6,000 customers.
Dr. Berger also emphasized that DocuWare would by no means be saying goodbye to its on-premises offering: "We continue to offer a solution in two deployment options -- none of our competitors have that.”
