Setting a new record - With 459 participants from 27 countries, DocuWare held its annual Partner conference at the beginning of April. DocuWorld Europe, which took place for the sixth time on the east coast of Mallorca, is an international event with visitors mainly flying in from Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Much of this year’s focus was on the latest DocuWare Version 7.1 release. The atmosphere was excellent! DocuWare Partners along with product experts and sponsors enjoyed keynote speeches, training sessions, a complementary product expo, and a special awards ceremony for long-standing and Diamond-level Partners. Sports and entertainment programming also framed each day, for added fun and networking opportunities.
Up-to-date through keynotes, workshops and training sessions
New DocuWare Presidents Dr. Michael Berger and Max Ertl kicked off the event. Max Ertl looked back on a very successful 2018 and outlined the company‘s ambitious sales goals. Dr. Michael Berger explained what makes DocuWare unique as a company and a product. In addition to presentations about upcoming product developments and major market opportunities, guest speakers from business and politics complemented the extensive program. Bernhard Oberschmidt, CEO of the USU Group, spoke about the upheaval taking place in the cloud and all the opportunities that come with it in the IT world. Wolfgang Bosbach inspired the German-speaking participants with his speech "2019 – Stress Test for Germany and Europe." In an entertaining way, the former politician and lawyer spoke about the effects of digitization on society and the global economy.
In addition to the keynotes, over 60 workshops and training sessions were offered over the course of the event, which DocuWare Partners used extensively for their recertification.
Companies present complementary products
At an accompanying trade expo, Partners were able to gather information about new products, solutions and integration possibilities from other software and hardware companies. Some technology partners, like Objectif Lune, Neffe Consulting, Validated ID or plustek, took advantage of the opportunity to showcase their solutions with their own presentations, covering topics like business process automation, integration of electronic signatures, and automatic document recognition/processing.
