For the first time, the DocuWorld Partner Conference 2020 was scheduled to take place in Berlin in conjunction with the DocuWorld User Conference. But the COVID-19 pandemic thwarted this plan.DocuWorld User Conference 2020 was cancelled, and the DocuWorld Partner Conference 2020 was held virtually over two days. In total, over 1450 people from about 45 countries attended online.
The keynote event for all DocuWare Sales Partners from Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region opened on Wednesday morning by DocuWare Group President Max Ertl (responsible for Sales & Marketing) and David Mills, CEO Ricoh Europe. The keynote "Digital Transformation and DocuWare" was then delivered jointly by presidents Max Ertl and Dr. Michael Berger (responsible for Products, Services and Finance).
Max Ertl thanked the partners for their commitment and highlighted last year's successes. Michael Berger reported on last year's growth in the Cloud, but also confirmed that the On Premises version will continue to be offered. He outlined the challenges that the company has overcome since its foundation in 1988 and is expressed his conviction that it will be emerge from the current crisis stronger than before.
A highlight of every DocuWorld is acknowledging partners who bring in the highest revenues in the previous year. Hermann Schäfer, VP Sales DACH, honored the Top 12 of the Diamond Club 2020 from the DACHregion. The winner was Wolters Kluwer Service und Vertriebs GmbH a sixtime winner and a Partner since 2011. Ricoh Deutschland GmbH, a Partner since 2000 and a Diamond Club member since 2008 were in second place and in third it was ITK Gromnitza, an ADP since 2012 and one of the top revenue producers since 2016.
Marcin Pichur, Vice President Sales Emerging Markets, honored the ten members of the Diamond Club 2020 from the EMEA region. In first place was CD DOC (Xelians) from France. The company made DocuWare Diamond Club status (EMEA) for the 13th time and has been a DocuWare Partner for 23 years.
Another highlight was the presentation by Michael Diemer. The Chief Service Officer of the European Central Bank reported on leadership in the digital age and also addressed the current situation.
Other highlights of the conference were the release DocuWare Version 7.3 and extensive training programs with workshops. As usual, sales partners were able to get recertified during the conference. Technology partners OneOffixx, Validated ID, Ephesoft and Objectif Lune offered their own webinars.
While our online event was a great success, everyone is definitely looking forward to meeting each other personally next year. The DocuWorld Partner Conference 2021 will be held in Berlin in April 2021.
