DocuWorld 2022 Partner Conferences Span Europe & the Americas

Written by Joan Honig | May 26, 2022

DocuWorld 2022 was a global conference hosted in Berlin and Orlando. Both events bring together our Partners from all over EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) and the Americas (including the Bahamas and Jamaica), along with the DocuWare team and alliance companies to share insight into the latest technology and solutions in the document management space.

The theme of this year's event was "Adapt. Automate. Innovate." The events brought together 1,270 participants from 60 countries. The agenda included presentations from our presidents and leadership team, networking opportunities and hands-on educational sessions. This on-site training is an important part of ongoing educational programming that enables DocuWare Partners to better serve their customers.

DocuWorld Americas also featured a Customer Conference where customers came together to learn how to optimize their use of DocuWare, ask questions and provide feedback to the DocuWare team and network with their peers.

The key takeaway from the conference was that demand for cloud solutions continues to climb with 75% of new installations opting for the cloud vs. on-premises.

Enormous sales growth

At the start of the conference, Max Ertl, DocuWare Group President responsible for Sales & Marketing, highlighted the company's global success with 3,114 new customer companies became part of the DocuWare community.

DocuWare Corporation President Jim Roberts spoke about the need to adapt to the rapid economic and social changes the pandemic caused and how these new demands affect DocuWare and our customers. He emphasized that DocuWare plays a pivotal role in helping customers become more agile to respond to changing market conditions and summed up the 4 key practices partners should adopt to keep achieving and even surpassing their DocuWare customer growth.

DocuWare celebrates 10 years in the cloud

In his opening presentation, Dr. Michael Berger, DocuWare Group President focused on the company's product strategy. Forward-thinking decisions made years ago continue to underpin the company's success.

As early as 2002, the company opted to build the next DocuWare version on the basis of a flexible, future-ready and highly scalable architecture. Four years later, a move to a purely browser-based user interface followed. This technological foresight set the course so that the company was able to bring its first SaaS offering to market in 2012. Today, DocuWare Cloud is a critical part of the technology infrastructure of more than 6,000 customers.

Dr. Berger also emphasized that DocuWare would by no means be saying goodbye to its on-premises offering: "We continue to offer a solution in two deployment options -- none of our competitors have that.”

What a difference a year makes

During the conference’s educational sessions, our Partners take an in-depth look at DocuWare’s new features and capabilities. For example, keeping in mind that more than 50% of business processes in any organization are affected by signature or authorization processes, they explore common use cases and learn more about the business benefits of electronic signature.

Partners also caught up on the improvements we’ve made to our preconfigured cloud solutions. These ready-to-use packages can be implemented in just days, empowering our customers to digitize and automate core business processes quickly with minimal IT resources. Our customers benefit from the expertise we‘ve gained from 30 years in business and thousands of successful digitization projects. DocuWare offers preconfigured solutions for smart document control, invoice processing, employee management, e-signature, and vaccination and testing.

DocuWorld also gave Partners a chance to visit the exhibit hall to learn about products, services and integration options that enhance the DocuWare solution including advanced data capture, paperless proof of delivery and the latest document scanners.

The Americas conference sponsors were: Upland Objectif Lune, Ancora, Epson, EZeScan, James Imaging Systems, Validated ID and Evolved Office. While our conference in the EMEA region was supported by our sponsors BCT Deutschland GmbH, ancora software, plustek Technolog GmbH, Canon Deutschland GmbH, Validated ID, Axon Ivy AG and Titanom Technologies.

We’re already planning DocuWorld 2023 and look forward to this dynamic, yearly event.
