DocuWare Version 6.11 Makes Processes More Intuitive

Written by DocuWare Team | March 7, 2017

Work Simply…Digitally

Germering, March 7, 2017 – At CeBIT 2017, DMS specialist DocuWare will be presenting Version 6.11 of its proven Enterprise Content Management system. The new release is best characterized by its simpler usability and includes many detail improvements such as in workflow management and email archiving.

The intuitive usability of DocuWare – both in the application and configuration of the system – is a top priority for this software developer. In order to make the ECM solution as user-friendly as possible with Version 6.11, this forward-thinking company is providing complete functionality with the use of just a browser. No need for complex software installations at individual workstations; configuration apps allow users to customize the software to all their own needs. With the continued migration to HTML5, not only has the program’s user guidance been further simplified but innovations going forward are guaranteed.

Workflows Increase Productivity

With Workflow Manager features refined, business processes can now be set up even more flexibly and ad-hoc workflows can start rolling without the need for any programming. Thus, recurring processes can be easily defined according to a pre-defined schedule, for example, with a daily, weekly, or monthly start-end point. Escalation levels (reminders, due dates, reassignments) ensure that tasks are never left unfinished.

Connect to Outlook Gets a New Look

The module for integrating Microsoft Outlook has been completely redesigned. Users can now more easily create new configurations and select storage options directly in their email program. The program’s performance was also significantly improved with Version 6.11.

Cloud and/or on-premises?

With identical functionality, DocuWare solutions can be run in the cloud or as an on-premises system within a company’s own IT infrastructure; the user interface, configuration and maintenance are the same. By using new technologies, Version 6.11 makes sure that the synchronization of the cloud solution with local data and the matching ERP or other data (even with firewalls) functions smoothly. This allows hybrid cloud solutions to be implemented simply, quickly and extremely efficiently.
