This DocuWare release enables the direct connection of DocuWare Intelligent Document Processing functions. And as previously announced, the switch from cookie-based authentication to the oAuth2 method.
The IDP functions Classification and Extraction can now be used directly from the DocuWare workflow instead of through a make.com connection. This makes it much easier to use these AI-based functions to assign documents to different categories and extract data from a wide range of document types.
Note: In the What's New document, these application scenarios are only hinted at, as the IDP functions have not yet been actively communicated to customers. We will wait with that until we have prepared you, our DocuWare Partners, with consulting and sales tips via special webinars with more in-depth information on functions and application scenarios. The webinar dates will be available in the upcoming issues of PartnerInfo.
Find out more about other new features in DocuWare version 7.11 in the preview version of What's New in DocuWare, as usual in combination with application fields and benefits for users.
Next steps of the release: The on-premises version will follow at the end of September. The update of the cloud organizations and the information to customers via the product blog and UserInfo will start at the beginning of October.
It is important that all DocuWare Desktops apps are updated, and third-party applications are converted accordingly. You can use the new "App Registration" module within DocuWare configuration to store third-party applications for access to DocuWare.
Please make sure that all third-party applications previously accessed by DocuWare via cookie authentication are switched to oAuth2 authentication before updating to version 7.11. Otherwise, these applications will no longer work.
